We drove to neighboring Greenpoint from Williamsburg to grab dessert and coffee. The French cafe across the street would not seat us for dessert only, and the other place down the block did not have any tables, so we had to go with the last on our list, which was Lokal. It wasn't such a bad place, but it just wasn't the vibe we were looking for. Service was spotty, but at least the treats were good. We shared a panna cotta topped with blueberries and bread pudding with ice cream and mint chocolate chips, and I had my first taste of muddy Turkish coffee!
